SeasonalityAdults can be found from May to June. IdentificationAdults are chocolate brown with the base of the tarsi ringed with white (Ross, 1944). An acuminate ventral lobe is present at the base of the male clasper. The disto-dorso lobe is curved (Morse, 1975).

Scientific Name Ceraclea tarsipunctata Habitat Lakes and generally streams that are fairly clear, rapid and cool (LaFontaine, 1981). Seasonality Adults can be found from May to June. Identification Adults are chocolate brown with the base of the tarsi ringed with white (Ross, 1944). An acuminate ventral lobe is present at the base of the male clasper. The disto-dorso lobe is curved (Morse, 1975). Life History Usually only one generation per year (LaFontaine, 1981). Diet Info Larvae feed on detritus and sponges. Range In the United States, east from Kentucky to New York. In Canada, east from Saskatchewan to Ontario and New Brunswick (Morse, 1975).
