Phragmatobia lineata can be distinguished from the other members of the genus by the presence of transverse lines on the forewing (from P. fuliginosa) and the continuation of the marginal black band of the hindwing along the costal margin (from P. assimilans). There are also genitalic differences (See Donahue & Newman, 1966).
Life History No information available. Diet Info Probably a variety of low growing plants. Range The known range of this species is quite limited, distributed primarily in the northeastern U.S. The only records for western North America are from Manitoba (Aweme and Brandon) and a few Alberta records from the prairies.
