Poorly known but in other species of this genus the larvae feed in the spring and go into a pupal diapause through the drier parts of the summer. Pupation occurs in leaf litter or in the soil within a cocoon which is unusual for the subfamily Tortricinae. The ovipositor is modifed to scrape up debris and deposit it on the eggs. (Powell 1980)
Conservation Not of concern. Diet Info The larva feeds on currants (Ribes sp.). (Powell 1980) Range This species is known from the Northwest Territories and British Columbia, east to Saskatchewan and south to extreme northern California. (Powell 1980) Notes This species grades into D. macdunnoughi. (Powell 1980)
