Scientific Name Notiophilus simulator Habitat In mountains, usually near tree line, on open or slightly shaded ground; on sandy soil with moss. Diet Info Both adults are larvae are predatory. Range This species is found in western United States and Canada. In Alberta the three specimens were collected near Jasper.
