SeasonalityLate August in Alberta, June to August elsewhere (Razowski 1979). IdentificationThe forewing varies from pale white to reddish brown but is most commonly light yellow. A brown line is normally prominent from the middle of the costa to the anal angle and a similarly coloured small mark near the apex. A small basal dark marking and reticulations throughout the forewing are also occasionally present. The hindwing is usually off-white, but can occasionally be grey.

The forewing varies from pale white to reddish brown but is most commonly light yellow. A brown line is normally prominent from the middle of the costa to the anal angle and a similarly coloured small mark near the apex. Diet Info The larva feeds upon Subalpine Larkspur (Delphinium barbeyi) in Alaska. (Razowski 2002) Range Alaska to Newfoundland, south in mountainous areas to New Hampshire, Colorado, and Utah. Also found in some mountain ranges in the northern Palearctic (Razowski 2002).
