SeasonalityAdults fly from late May to early August.
IdentificationForewings on males are a bright grey-brown, with alternate areas of colour. Female forewings are generally more irrorate. Antennae are brown, vertex deep brown anteriorly and deep orange posteriorly and the thorax is deep brown. Legs are brownish yellow to yellow with yellow-brown spurs. The lateral membranous lobes of the male aedeagus have a single, black, ventrally directed spine and also a pair of small spines (Nimmo, 1987).
