SeasonalityAdults fly from late May to early September. IdentificationMale forewings are pale grey-brown and females are pale orange-brown. Antennae are brownish-cream; thorax and legs are bright, pale yellow brown with yellow-brown spurs. The lateral membranous lobes of the male aedeagus have long, linear, black and uniformly wide black spines with short, tapered and acuminate tips (Nimmo, 1987).

The lateral membranous lobes of the male aedeagus have long, linear, black and uniformly wide black spines with short, tapered and acuminate tips (Nimmo, 1987).
Life History Annual(?) Unknown. Conservation Common. Diet Info Larvae are omnivorous. Range Widespread distribution, from Alberta south to Wyoming and South Carolina, east to Nova Scotia. In Alberta, commonly collected from the lower foothills and northward to the boreal forest.
