SeasonalityAdults fly from early May to mid-October.
IdentificationMale forewings are grey and irrorate with faintly tinted-brown hindwings. Adult antennae are brown, vertex of head brown anteriorly and yellow-brown posteriorly. Thorax is dark brown with pale yellow-brown spurs. A single black spine on the male aedeagus lateral membranous lobes, which is curved antero-dordo-mesad. There is also a small dorso-medial membranous lobe (Nimmo, 1987).

Habitat
Varying from small to large flowing waters. Wave-washed gravel shores of large lakes.

Range
In Canada, known from Alaska to Newfoundland, south to southern British Columbia and St. Lawrence River Valley (Nimmo, 1987).
