SeasonalityAdults fly between late May to late August.
IdentificationAdult antennae are brown-cream, with the vertex of the head and thorax dark-brown. The legs are brownish-yellow with brown spurs. The dorso-posterior edge of segment 9 on the adult male, is developed into a pair of long uniform processes with ventrally directed acuminate tips (longer than the cerci). The claspers are a complex of lobes and teeth (Nimmo, 1987).

Adult antennae are brown-cream, with the vertex of the head and thorax dark-brown. The legs are brownish-yellow with brown spurs. The dorso-posterior edge of segment 9 on the adult male, is developed into a pair of long uniform processes with ventrally directed acuminate tips (longer than the cerci). Life History
Larvae exhibit a two-year lifecycle.
Conservation
Common.
Diet Info
Larvae are predacious in the summer months and phytophagous at other times.
Range
North in the Yukon and Northwest Territories, south to California and New Mexico. This species is restircted to the Cordillera west of the Great Plains, except one Quebec record.
