Fruits and Seeds Round to elliptical berry-like drupes in drooping clusters; orange to red; 8-10 mm wide, juicy, acidic. Phenology Flowering May - July. Notes 2n=18 Similar species: Viburnum edule which has smaller cymes of 1-2 cm diameter, compared to the 15 cm diameter of V. opulus cymes. Range/Distribution Alberta: SW border in mountain range and central.
