LeavesDeciduous; alternate (E-FloraBC). 2-4 times longer than wide with parallel sides; attaches to petiole at narrower end; small rounded teeth along margin; short-haired or hairless; pale underside (Moss, 1983). 0.3-1.5 cm wide; 0.5-4.5 cm long.
FlowersPedicels slender with small hairs and glands; flowers in terminal clusters of 2-10 (E-FloraBC). Appear with leaves; sepals four lobes with marginal fringe of hairs; petals 4-9 mm long and 2-5 mm wide with urn shape; greenish yellow; 8 stamens (Moss, 1983).
Fruits and SeedsCapsule oval-shaped with four locules; opens through the septa and between locules; seeds linear (Moss, 1983). 5-7 mm long (E-FloraBC).
