LeavesBasal leaves lance-shaped; slightly toothed margin; 1-6 cm long; hairy; 3-rayed trichomes; stem leaves egg to lance-shaped; toothed margin shaped like an arrowhead; smooth (Moss, 1983). Rosette at stem base; 3-8 mm wide; pointed tip; stem leaves smaller; stalkless; clasp stem (Johnson et al., 1995).
FlowersPink to purple petals; 6-10 mm long (Moss, 1983). Cluster at stem tip; 4 petals (Johnson et al., 1995).
Fruits and SeedsDehiscent pod (silique); ascending at 45 degrees or spreading; 2-8 cm long; seeds egg-shaped; narrowly winged (Moss, 1983).

General Description
A biennial or perennial plant that has simple or branching, hairless to sparsely hairy stems 40-80 cm tall; bears pink to purple flowers (Moss, 1983).

Basal leaves lance-shaped; slightly toothed margin; 1-6 cm long; hairy; 3-rayed trichomes; stem leaves egg to lance-shaped; toothed margin shaped like an arrowhead; smooth (Moss, 1983).
