Similar Species: Arnica latifolia A. latifolia can be found in moist montane forests and meadows. It can be distinguished from A. cordifolia by elliptical to lance-shaped lowers leaves and hairless bracts. Medical uses: A. cordifolia was used by early pioneers with rubbing alcohol to make a liniment that reduced inflammation of muscles, joints and sprains.
