Scarf made from Gonometa rufobrunnea. Label reads: "Scarf of 100% silk of Gonometa rufobrunnea knitted by Gerlinda Pahlen in Arnsberg, Germany. Mrs. Pahlen lived in Botswana in the 1990s where she acquired the processed wild silk from Shashe Silk (Pty) Ltd. in Francistown. The yarn was handspun in Botswana by women of the Kalanga tribe. The silk is natural colored. Sent by G. Pahlen to Richard S. Peigler in June 2024. The scarf measures 12 cm x 118 cm."
