A dupatta (shawl) made of tasar silk (Antheraea paphia). Label reads: "Woman's dupatta composed of tasar silk (Antheraea paphia = A. mylitta) and organic handspun cotton. It was handwoven in the village of Kotpad, Koraput District, state of Odisha (formerly spelled Orissa). The brick color is from a natural dye in the roots of the aal tree (Morinda citrifolia). The fish is one of the traditional motifs used by the weavers of Kotpad, who belong to the Dongria Kondha tribe. Purchased in October 2015 by RIchard S. Peigler from an internet seller in Portland, Oregan. Kotpad Handloom textiles have Geographical Indication registration (®GI). Price paid: US$62.00"
