Scarf made from mulberry silk (Bombyx mori). Label reads: "Scarf of mulberry silk (Bombyx mori) handwoven in 2006 in a small Betsileo tribe village near Ambalavao, Madagascar, in the most southeastern part of the Central Highlands. These narrow lambas are worn as sashes by mena nd women, and sometimes by women around the shoulders. It was amde on a ground loom. Purchased by mail-order by Richard S. Peigler in August 2018 from a seller in Clarkson, Georgia, who bought it in Ambalavao in 2006. It measures 10 cm x 165 cm. Price paid : US$14.99".
