Hybrid between a banjo and a ukulele. Belonged to Arthur Hiller, the father of the donor, and he played it when he belonged to the Herbie Royale Orchestra in Kitchener/Waterloo, Ontario between 1931 and 1941. The Herbie Royale Orchestra took advantage of the big band era sound and blayed in the city and many dance halls in cottage country and rural Ontario. Art played the piano and sometimes the ukulele (banjolele). The drawing on the ukulele case was created by him.
