This small lute has a triangle-shaped body with a short neck and 3 strings. The sides angle towards a slightly curved. The front is light-coloured wood, the back is dark wood with a painting of the silhouette of a man on a horse. There is a decorative wood inlay in each of the bottom 2 corners on the front. There is a decortative piece of dark wood attached to the neck, sitting above the body around the sound hole, under the strings. The strings are attached to pegs on the left side of the head.
