The body of this small folk fiddle is made of a tortoise shell covered in skin. The skin has a large tear in it. The neck is made of dark-coloured wood with simple geometric designs carved into it. There are 3 strings that ring from tuning pegs attached directly to the neck to a small piece of wood sticking out through a hole cut in the skin. The bridge is tilted down to reduce tension on the strings. The skin still has small patches of hair attached to it in places.
