Handwoven white cotton warp-faced huipil (woman's traditional tunic or blouse, of Maya origin), made of two panels. Warp features regularly-spaced stripes in burgundy, purple and green. Centre seam hand-sewn, side seams left open. Discontinuous supplementary wefts form bands of stylized birds and geometric patterns across the torso and shoulder areas in yellows, green-blue, purple, orange, red and white. Square neckline with small slit in centre front, finished with button hole stitching in green thread.
