Handwoven huipil (woman's traditional tunic or blouse, of Maya origin) made in two panels of warp-faced plain weave. Shoulder area features stylized birds, bands of zig-zag and diamond motifs formed by discontinuous supplementary wefts in many colours. Unsewn areas of centre seam forms neck opening. Edge of neck opening and armholes are finished with embroidery in red with details in blue, orange, green and yellow.
