Handwoven ceremonial huipil (woman's traditional tunic or blouse, of Maya origin) made of three panels. Side panels are mostly warp-faced white cotton. Centre panel and shoulder areas of side panel feature bands on colour with discontinuous wefts forming stylized animals, birds and flowers in many colours. Round neckline is bound with a narrow purple hand-woven band chain stitched in blue and green; purple 4 cm wide band formed in 'U' shape applied next to neckline in front, back and shoulders with chain stitching in yellow and red.
