Handwoven white huipil (woman's traditional tunic or blouse, of Maya origin) made in three parts. Finely woven background features stylized animals, birds and geometric patterns in thicker white cotton supplementary weft. Floats of supplementary weft appear to be cut leaving fuzzy outlines on the motifs. Yellow and purple discontinuous supplementary wefts in upper torso and shoulder areas form small geometric motifs. Same purple and yellow used in a striped band in the ground fabric. Round neckline, decorated with a border of stylized flowers in yellow, green, red and black.
