Handwoven brown cotton huipil (woman's traditional tunic or blouse, of Maya origin) made in two panels. Machine stitched center seam leaves unsewn centre area for neck opening. Discontinuous supplementary wefts form bands of multicoloured geometric patterns and stylized birds. Blue and white continuous supplementary wefts form narrower bands of stylized floral and foliate motifs.
