Short length of Mechlin bobbin lace; pattern is formed with open and closed cloth stitches; hexegonal meshes are formed by 2 twist of the yarn on four sides and three plaits on two sides; the outlining element is formed by a thicker, shiny yarn; scalloped edge features a variety of decorative stitches. Design features oak leaves and flowers strewn on ground with oval cartouches along the edge.
