blue-green faille and cream coloured silk dress, with neck yoke of machine-embroidered net with high collar with collar stays; Underneath neck yoke cream silk fabric is folded into two pleats in front; CB closing of 7 hooks and eyes in neckyoke; 13 hooks and eyes in outer bodice of green faille, and 7 small buttons in inner bodice. Overbodice of green faille edged with purple velvet has a cutout in lower front showing draped/ folded underbodice underneath; non-functional purple velvet covered buttons on each shoulder seam of overbodice. Sleeves have caps of cream-coloured silk, a short sleeve of faille and a long undersleeve of net trimmed with purple velvet at wrist, with one hook and eye closing. Skirt of green faille, gently flaring with 6 gores; long triangular inserts of cream silk in gore seams at front and back from hipline to hem, edged with purple velvet, which continues to cover the seam to the waistline; 3 velvet covered buttons on these seams just below waistline; inserts have pleated ruffles near the hem. Back of dess has princess seaming in the bodice, edged with purple velvet and 4 purple velvet buttons at waist along seam.
