White brocade dress copied after a "Robe à la Français," 1770-75. Bodice with a deep, square cut neckline fastened with 3 metal hooks and eyes. Entire dress is edged with ruching of self fabric. Front is fitted from neckline by shaped panels which form a V at CF waistline. Overskirt gathered to waistline at front. Back falls from neckline to hem in pleats. Elbow length sleeves with flared ruffle lined with white lace. Inner skirt in panels gathered to waistline at front. Ruffles of self fabric and green seam binding in mid section. Two bows of green ribbon on each sleeve. Seven seed beads decorate front panel of bodice.
