Ankle length dress. Bodice of off-white silk with a wide strip of off-white machine made cotton lace over each shoulder. Bib front and back of orange silk velvet are placed over the lace; two wide strips of black silk veiling over each shoulder. Two rows of beading around neckline extending down the CF edges. Short cut-on sleeves are trimmed 2" from the edge with a row of fur. Below fur is a piece of orange silk with six horizontal pleats which covers the rest of the sleeve. Three black silk bows are attached to the orange silk at the sleeve front. Bodice is lined with cotton fabric and is fitted to the body with bones at the base of the two darts at the front, one at each side seam, one at each side back seam and one at CB. Skirt section is gathered to the waist in the back but is flat in front. Border is attached to the skirt with French knots. Each side curves where it meets the other at CF. left side opening of bib front has 4 snaps, one hook at waistlne and 10 shamps in left side seam of skirt; waistband is embroidered with yellow silk flowers; as is left inset triangular panel of skirt, which extends from hipline to beyond the rest of the velvet skirt.
