Pink and green manta with rainbow coloured stripes. 2 sections of 28.0-30.0 cm wide fabric woven on a backstrap loom. 4 selvages and a finely woven terminal band on each piece, terminal is (11.0 -12.0 cm long). Centre seam joining 2 pieces of turquoise cotton thread in slanted Figure 8 stitch. Each piece with 2 main design bands, 5.0 - 7.0 cm wide. Each is flanked by 11 - 13 bilaterally symmetrical rainbow stripes. Pink and green sections and striped areas are warped faced, thus pink weft yarns are hidden. Fabric count (warp x filling) 32 x 12 yarns/cm. The narrow design bands have small zoomorphic symbolic figures traditional to the region. Figures made by complementary warp technique with 3 span floats often aligned in alternate pairs.
