Huipil (woman's traditional tunic or blouse, of Maya origin) made from handwoven warp-faced cotton fabric. Warp has red and white stripes with yellow and black pin stripes; bodice extensively covered with red bands of diamonds and multicoloured motifs formed by discontinuous supplementary wefts. Square neckline with a small slit at front in white cotton neck yoke; blue ties at corners of slit. Roundels of blue ribbon applied just below neckline; yoke features lines of narrow blue ric-rack tape.
