White cotton twill (?) huipil (woman's traditional tunic or blouse, of Maya origin) made of one fabric width. Square neckline finished with buttonhole stitches in red. Neck area is embroidered with flowers in satin stitching; armholes are finished with buttonhole stitches in red; sides are left unsewn; vertical smocking (c 7 pleats) on each shoulder, worked with multicoloured threads; bottom edges left unfinished.
