Short bolster-type lace pillow, covered with red/white printed cotton; lace pattern on thin card pinned to pillow, with long thorns (?). Mercerized cotton thread wound on 8 carved bobbins to create a simple insertion lace featuring 'Maltese petals' or 'wheat grains'. A length of completed lace is rolled up on cardboard and pinned onto the pillow. All pins used are made of long thorns, most with a small fuzzy plume at the end.
