Renaissance lace: open element of buttonhole stitched bars or brides; closed element of two types of braid or tape, one plain for the footing and heading, and one fancy for the motifs; a third narrow braid forms the picoted edge. The outlining element is gimp in the fancy braid and the decorative element is a variation of open buttonhole stitches.
