Handwoven warp-faced bright green cotton huipil (woman's traditional tunic or blouse, of Maya origin) made in three panels. Continuous and discontinuous supplementary wefts in shoulder areas in side panels and torso area in centre panels form wide bands of flowers and foliage in many colours on a burgundy background. Square neckline in centre panel decorated with black cotton Van-Dyked points with applique, outlined with chain stitches.
