Fossil floodplain south side of the Mountain River, 9 miles west of the Mountain River Camp on plot #114. The soil is a moderately well drained mixture of silt and humus layers. Under a Picea mariana - Larix laricina stand with Betula glandulosa, Ledum groenlandicum, Vaccinium uliginosum, Arctostaphylos rubra, and Cladonia alpestris. Sans Sault.
