North of Sheep River Trail and west of Gorge Creek. Large, open willow-dwarf birch/wire rush-sedge meadow at 1600 m elevation. The terrain hummocky and the moisture regime hygric, with some standing water. Associated species include: Salix serissima, S. glauca, Betula pumila, Potentilla fruticosa, Carex rostrata, Deschampsia caespitosa, Juncus balticus, Calamagrostis strica and Geum allepicum.
