Elk Island National Park, Alberta. 37 km east of Edmonton on Hwy 16. Salix bebbiana and Alnus tenuifolia swamp or carr in the lagg of a Sphagnum bog (site 28) pH 5.7. Calamgrostis canadensis is the dominant plant with Petasites palmatus, Potentilla palustris, Lysimachia thrysiflora, Poa palustris and Carex rostrata. Bryophytes of importance are Rhizomnium gracile, Bryum pseudotriquetrum, and Climacium dendroides.
