Elk Island National Park. 37 Km east of Edmonton on Hwy 16. Salix swamp or carr (site 6) pH=5.6 dominated by Salix discolor, S. pyrifolia, S. petiolaris, and S. pedicellaris. Ground cover is dominated by Betula pumila, Agrostis scabra, Calamagrostis canadensis, and Menyanthes trifoliata. Bryophytes consist of Hypnum pratense, Brachythecium mildeanum, and Plagiomnium ellipticum.
