Prince Rupert Area: Pitt Island, Along South shore of Holmes Lake. Near sea level. In coastal rain forest and blanket bog near shore of lake and along lake edge. Dominant vegetation of Camaecyparis nootkatensis, Blechnum spicant, Cornus unalaschekensis, Gaultheria shallon, Linnaea borealis, and Tsuga mertensiana. Sphagnum papillosum, S. tenellum, and Siphula ceratites dominant in bogs, with abundant epiphytes on both conifers and angiosperms.
