Open hillside above road with Populus tremuloides and Picea glauca (slope 20- 25 degrees). Occurring with Antennaria rosea, Arctostaphylos uva-ursi, Sheperdia canadensis, Potentilla hookeriana, Artemisia frigida, Saxifraga tricuspidata, Solidago decumbens, Rosa acicularis and Bunch grasses.
