Gravelly alpine frost boils and terraces on limestone formation. Occuring with Potentilla biflora, Arnica frigida, Salix sp., Betula glandulosa, Cassiope tetragona, Dryas, Empetrum nigrum, Vaccinium uglinosum, Artostaphylos alpina.
