Tanacross Quad: Alaska Range, Tok River Drainage, along Clearwater Creek access road, about 0.8 miles (~1.3 km) from its northern junction with the Glenn Highway (about 28.5 km north of the Tok River crossing). Open hillside above road with Populus tremuloides and Picea glauca (slope 20- 25 degrees). Occurring with Antennaria rosea, Arctostaphylos uva-ursi, Sheperdia canadensis, Potentilla hookeriana, Artemisia frigida, Saxifraga tricuspidata, Solidago decumbens, Rosa acicularis and Bunch grasses.
