Frost boils on alpine tundra. Occurring with Salix sp., Arenaria, Campanula, Oxytropis, Dryas, Arctostaphylos alpina, Alnus, Betula, Diapensia, Vaccinium uliginosum, Empetrum nigrum, Arnica, Tofieldia.
