This print from the series "Meisho Edo Hyakkei" ("One Hundred Views of Edo") depicts the marsh near Susaki covered with snow as seen from above. In the distance the lumberyards of Fukagawa can be seen above the roofs of the houses. At the top, a golden eagle in flight, its wings forming a frame for the snowy sky. This area was a swamp that was reclaimed from the sea and often flooded in bad weather.
